Opportunities for Community Leaders to Earn whilst they Learn.
EntrepreneursVille has taken steps to expand the building of its Community Groups from Perth, Western Australia to Australia Wide, via it’s Meetup Pro platform http://entrepreneursville.com . The meetup groups gather at least once a month in a Local Government Authority area (Council) to have their say and unleash ideas.
It is an opportunity for the residents and business owners of a municipality to hear and discuss what the Council’s economic development departments are working on to create Smart Cities and Sustainable Communities for us all to thrive in.
Each monthly meetup allows the Community Builders to Connect, Collaborate and Co-create for Global Entrepreneurship Week Australia. Created to Celebrate the successful initiatives and outcomes that have culminated from these and other Local, State, National and International meetups.
With over 537 Local Government Authorities in Australia capable of being mobilised to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week Australia #GEWAUS, we look forward to the impact Australia can have in advancing economic growth and innovation both at home and between our neighbouring alliance, GEN Asia.
Each Local Government Authority (Council) along with other stakeholders has the opportunity to sponsor a showcase of their local SME’s, Entrepreneurs and Innovators and for their local residents to gain free or subsidised entry to the event and help celebrate during Global Entrepreneurship Week in November.

Global Entrepreneurship Week 2017 - WA
Western Australia
13-11-2017 09:00 – 19-11-2017 17:00
In less than 100 days, more than 10 million people around the world will take part in Global Entrepreneurship Week – marking the 10th year for the global movement and weeklong celebration.
Since the first effort in 2008, Global Entrepreneurship Week has helped nearly 50 million people explore their potential to start and grow new businesses – strengthening emerging startup ecosystems and empowering them through global connections.
“In a relatively short period of time, communities and countries everywhere have come to understand the need to support their most innovative citizens,” said Jonathan Ortmans, president of the Global Entrepreneurship Network, who has led the effort since it began. “Global Entrepreneurship Week provides an opportunity to expand their reach to new audiences from all parts of their local ecosystem and foster connections and resources that enable them to thrive.”
The campaign began with an emphasis on inspiring young people to make their mark and has since evolved into a far-reaching effort that engages entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, researchers, support organizations and others collaborating to advance economic growth and innovation in all different types of economies and cultures.
#GEW2017 will be November 13-19 and GEN is counting down the weeks by recognizing some of the stories that demonstrate its impact over the past 10 years – as well as some lighter efforts.
Startup Success Stories:
Since the beginning, GEW has focused on encouraging innovative ideas and helping new businesses start – and has seen founders tackle some of the world’s most challenging issues. Through partner competitions and GEN’s own Startup Open, founders have pitched their ideas, received feedback and obtained success on a global level. GEN will recognize 10 entrepreneur and startup success stories as part of 10 Years of Unleashing Ideas.
Country Profiles:
GEN will highlight countries that have participated in Global Entrepreneurship Week since the very beginning in a series of 10 stories – spanning five continents – featuring host profiles and exploring the changes in their local and national ecosystems.
Influential Voices:
Over the past 10 years, countless thought leaders have gotten involved in Global Entrepreneurship Week. GEN will feature guest commentaries from a range of entrepreneurship experts including entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers and researchers from around the world.
Individual Impact Stories:
Millions of people have participated in GEW events, activities and competitions each year. GEN plans to highlight individual stories and moments from Global Entrepreneurship Week events and activities from the past decade. If you have a personal success story about how GEW inspired or helped you, please submit it online.
Top 10 Lists:
What 10 year celebration would be complete without a series of Top 10 lists? Through its social media channels, GEN will cover everything from its favorite entrepreneurship books to read and movies to watch, to the top reasons to become a GEW partner.
Global Entrepreneurship Week is made possible by the support of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, which has been behind it since day one, and a broad collection of partner organizations.

What we'll do
Hello, Perth entrepreneurs!
It is time again for a Perth Startup Blink networking event, one of many happening in dozens of cities around the world.
This month's invited speaker is not one, but two of the founders of Spacetoco. www.spacetoco.com
Daniel Franco and Daniel McCullen
Franco, as he is affectionately called by the team members, is stoked to see people’s resources better utilised for a variety of purposes in all communities. For him, it’s about making a difference in people’s lives. The idea of SpacetoCo for Franco takes society back to knowing our neighbour, helps us keep the garage door open and the front door unlocked. He’s also the only founder without grey hair.
Daniel McCullen is excited to build an organisation that has an end goal of improving the world in which we live, for his family and those around him. His core belief that SpacetoCo can facilitate a connection between people in their immediate community and foster more inclusive local economies, is the driving force behind his dedication to the project.
https://youtu.be/Sks5VJSPFgI
Come and hear the story of a Perth Tech Startup and the lessons learned so far on the journey.
Then participate in a discussion about setting up business and troubleshooting issues with your fellow small business peers.
This is an unofficial and relaxed networking event for people looking for ideas, co-founders, team members, investors, suppliers, and clients.
Our events are usually joined by 2 - 15 members, each participant will get a chance to introduce themselves and their project to the other attendees.
